The Kansas African Studies Center (KASC) has funding available to support several Summer FLAS awards ($3500 stipend and up to $5000 for tuition) for enrollment in the virtual 2024 KASC Summer African Languages Institute. The 2024 KASC Summer African Languages Institute offers KU courses at Elementary or Intermediate levels for Arabic, Kiswahili, or Wolof. The format of the courses is online synchronous, so students can take the courses from any convenient location (e.g., their own home).
